What are the key points of precision control in the stamping die manufacturing process?

Publish Time: 2025-01-02
The precision of stamping die directly affects the quality and production efficiency of stamping parts. In its manufacturing process, the following precision control points are crucial.

First, the design link is the basis of precision control. Designers must fully consider factors such as the shape, size, precision requirements and production batch of stamping parts, and reasonably determine the structure, gap, demolding method, etc. of the mold. Accurate design drawings are an important basis for subsequent manufacturing links. Any design deviation may be magnified during the processing process, thereby affecting the final precision of the mold.

Secondly, the precision of processing equipment has a key impact on mold precision. Advanced CNC machining centers, EDM machines and other equipment can ensure the dimensional accuracy and form and position tolerance of mold parts during cutting, forming and other processing processes. Regular maintenance and calibration of equipment to ensure that it is in good operating condition is a necessary measure to ensure mold processing accuracy.

Furthermore, the selection and quality control of mold materials cannot be ignored. High-quality and stable mold materials can maintain good dimensional stability and mechanical properties during processing and use. The hardness, toughness, wear resistance and other indicators of the material must meet the design requirements of the mold to avoid the decrease in mold precision due to material defects.

In terms of the processing technology of mold parts, it is necessary to formulate reasonable process flow and processing parameters. For example, in cutting processing, control the cutting speed, feed rate and cutting depth to reduce processing deformation and surface roughness; for parts with complex shapes, adopt appropriate special processing technology, such as electrospark machining, to ensure the realization of shape accuracy.

The assembly process of the mold is also a key link in precision control. Strictly operate in accordance with the assembly process requirements to control the matching clearance and positioning accuracy between each component. Use appropriate assembly tools and detection methods to conduct comprehensive precision detection and debugging of the assembled mold, and promptly discover and correct the errors generated during the assembly process.

The heat treatment process will also affect the mold accuracy. Improper heat treatment may cause deformation and cracking of mold parts, thereby reducing accuracy. Therefore, it is necessary to select appropriate heat treatment process parameters, such as heating rate, quenching temperature, tempering temperature, etc., and take effective protective measures to reduce deformation during heat treatment.

Finally, quality inspection runs through the entire process of stamping die manufacturing. We use advanced testing equipment such as three-coordinate measuring machines and projectors to accurately test the size, shape, surface roughness, etc. of mold parts, and provide timely feedback on the test results so that we can adjust and optimize the processing process to ensure that the mold ultimately meets the design accuracy standards, providing strong support for the production of high-quality stamping parts.
